Most targeted sessions run 1–3 minutes per zone. A multi-zone protocol (knee, shoulder and lower back, for example) typically wraps in under 10 minutes, so clinics can run sessions back-to-back.
What CO₂ tank does it use, and what does a refill cost?
World Cryo runs on a standard 20 or 50 lb CO₂ tank, the same beverage-grade tanks restaurants and breweries use. Refills typically run $20–$45 depending on your region and tank size, and one 50 lb tank delivers roughly 200–300 targeted sessions.
Is the device safe to operate?
Real-time skin-temperature monitoring keeps every pulse inside the therapeutic window (the protocol keeps skin above 36°F), and the red-light distance guide helps prevent incorrect angle or proximity. Setup takes minutes, and the free training course walks you through setup and operation.

How is this different from an ice bath or cryo chamber?
Ice baths and whole-body chambers cool everything at once, which is slow, uncomfortable and untargeted. World Cryo delivers pressurized −108.4°F CO₂ to a specific joint or muscle for 60–180 seconds. In a small controlled lab study, 2 minutes of pressurized CO₂ cooled skin further than 15 minutes with an ice bag (Mourot et al., 2007).
